This short video shows some of our chickens enjoying themselves even in the windy weather. The soil is still wet after being covered in snow for over a week yet a couple of the chickens are trying to dust bath by lying behind a clump of soil.

We have two areas for the chickens, the main run area is fairly large and is made secure to stop foxes getting into the run at night. We also put up a small temporary fence to allow the chickens to get more space - they seem to enjoy getting out of their 12 x 6 metre run into the extra space. They obviously enjoy the feeling and experience of moving around and exploring.

Chickens out in the snow in February. They certainly did not like the snow at first. They appear to have got used to it.
