Girls at Christmas
This picture was taken at Christmas 2008 and our "girls" are around their layer pellet feeder.
We used this feeder from the beginning and it allows you to add 2-3 days worth of feed that can be left for the chickens. We have always taken in any feeders each night as they can attract rats or other rodents into the chicken run if you leave them out. We also discovered that this was a problem if you put the chicken feed on the ground, so we now always make sure that there is no left over food when we lock the chickens in at night.
